My samples came from Tara Rook. I believe they all came from one cheap keyboard and sound like they were recorded on a cassette tape before being digitized (which i love) and sent to me. I dropped these sounds into my favorite old trusty freeware Modplug (which I have had on every computer I've ever owned since 1999) to get the most out of what at first felt like a limited sound palate. I wasn't sure if there was a rule about using only the sounds provided but that's how I chose to approach it. I haven't made a track like this in quite awhile and it was really fun to work with these nostalgic and familiar sounds in a way that I would not have on my own.
