Masks is a release from the musicians and friends known as Synth Club, based in Portland Maine.

All proceeds go to our friends at The Apohadion Theater.

The basic idea:

Three member teams drawn at random create tracks in a team format of a given BPM, key, & time length and then each member creates a unique mix.

The challenge has two phases.

Phase One: Track Creation
Each team will begin with three known parameters: BPM/Key/Length
Each team member will create tracks conforming to the team parameters without hearing other members tracks until phase two begins.
Each member will submit up to 8 mix stems, with mono tracks counting as one and stereo tracks counting as two, as 44.1k 16 or 24 bit wave files.
Once all three members of a team have completed their tracks, phase two begins.

Phase Two: Mix Creation
At the beginning of phase two, all team members will be given access to all the teams tracks.
Each member will create a mix using only the elements created by team members. That is really the only rule for the mix phase. Tracks can be manipulated, processed, cut, not used, resampled, etc. Any technique is fair game, as long as it starts with the team's source material.

Keep the mixes 4:00 or under.
